odd. whenever i run firefox, nothing ever seems to load from the free shadeside wifi network. by opening a unixs terminal, i can check my university email via pine and blog via lynx, but as for checking my gmail, it never seems to load ( Read more... )

i am getting better at typing on the small keyboard of desdemona.

i frequently make typos, but the odd part is that they are almost always the same, so i've gotten used to readying my fingers to the backspace or delete keys, in anticipation of "derivatoin" instead of "derivationso i suppose one could compare this to walking fast, but with a limp ( Read more... )

there are a few annoyances with the asus eee pc. for example, there may be 3 USB ports available, but there's no CD drive and you can't play your audio CDs on it. my mp3 collection is currently inaccessible and lately i've been feeling misgivings about using torrents to get new music for free ( Read more... )
